Description: We’d stopped at a small roadside restaurant for lunch. It was one of the best meals I’ve eaten in China: there’s nothing like fresh basic food at an ordinary restaurant when you want to treat yourself. I only have one photograph of the cook — he was shy. To do him justice I'd need a movie of him slicing with that big chopper!
