Our Mission

The inspiration for this website came about when I saw the quality of the imagery being posted by Chinese photographers on Chinese websites. Every day there were more and more images appearing of the most stunning sights from all around China. There are always the usual images being posted, taken in areas that a lot of people are familiar with like Beijing and Shanghai, and the familiar touristy sights like the Great Wall and Tian'anmen Square etc. but the ones that really caught my eye were the ones taken in places I've never heard of.

When I was setting up the categories for this site, I decided to include ten of the most popular and well-known places in China that a lot of people will be familiar with, but the category I'm most excited about developing is the Off the Beaten Track category. I really hope this one will grow and expand to present every undiscovered corner of China, from north to south, and from east to west.

China is developing rapidly and so is interest in China from western countries. Children in schools around the world are starting to learn Chinese, tourism is growing and more and more foreign business ventures are being established. We believe that there will be an ever increasing demand for high quality images covering every aspect of China. Images of China as a country, Chinese people, lifestyle, fashion, business and Chinese culture. Whether someone is looking for images for an advertising or marketing campaign, newspaper or magazine articles, images for books, website designers and graphic art designers, our aim is that in the future, Stock Exposures will be the place to visit to acquire images of China in any aspect you need.

Our overall mission is:

• To introduce western countries to some of the most talented photographers living in China
• To introduce western countries to the beauty of China, and to a lot of places and sights never before seen
• To provide exposure for Chinese photographers to have their work viewed and appreciated outside of China
• To build a solid database of the highest quality Chinese images that cover every aspect of China, Chinese life and culture
