What kind of images are you looking for?
Stock Exposures is devoted to images of China and images that portray and present the Chinese way of life, its scenery, culture, food, people, provinces and cities, in fact anything connected with China. We think China is beautiful and we want to share that with the whole world! Not just any old snaps though. We will review and accept only those images that meet our high standards and include good composition, good lighting, and are well exposed etc. We want to sell your images, and they have to appeal to potential buyers, so ask yourself, "Would this make a great poster?', "Could this sell a product?" Has anyone ever told you your pictures were like postcards or that they should be in travel brochures? Think like a buyer, think like an advertiser, think like a designer. If you think you have a great image then it can probably be used in innumerable ways and that's what we're looking for. Also keep in mind that buyers will want to do something with your image and adding text will probably be high on the list. Could your image take text? Is there room for it?
Do you only accept photos from Chinese photographers?
No, we welcome all photographers from all countries. Our only stipulation is that the images you upload are yours, and relevant to China in some aspect. The images don't even have to have been taken in China. Maybe you have a Chinatown in the city where you live or have Chinese friends. We just ask that the images pertain to China, Chinese people, Chinese life, Chinese food, Chinese culture etc.
Do you only accept photos of mainland China?
No, we also welcome photos of Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan (ROC) and all outlying islands.
Do you accept all images?
No, we don't. All images uploaded to our secure servers go through an approval process first. If they aren't relevant to China in any aspect, if the images are unsuitable or if they are low resolution and don't meet our quality standards in any way, they will be rejected.
What can and can't I upload?
For a comprehensive list of our requirements, including image quality, resolution, content, keywords, model releases, property releases and more, please see here.
Will my images be protected?
Yes, absolutely. All your images are automatically watermarked as soon as they are uploaded. Right-clicking and save-as is also disabled.
